Rainbow, splake and lake trout fishing is very good. There's a nice boat ramp and you can stay in developed campgrounds or cabins. |  | Bullion Canyon and Marysvale - Discover relics from the old mining boomtown, pan for gold, hike to the waterfalls, or fish the stream. |  | West desert - Rockhound Utah's remote and rugged backcountry to find a wide variety of semi-precious gems, minerals and fossils, from topaz to geodes to trilobites. |  | Otter Creek State Park - Fishing and camping are big draws at this state park. The trout are fat and the campground is very nice, complete with flush toilets. |  | Big Rock Candy Mountain - Minerals have colored this distinctive landmark green, tan, brown, orange, yellow and gray. In 1897 a railroad brakeman wrote the song, "In the Big Rock Candy Mountain," later recorded by Burl Ives and Tex Ritter. |  | Skyline Drive - Challenge this rugged dirt road, suitable only for ATVs and 4X4s in spots, as it follows the tops of the mountains through the center of the state, providing access to great hiking, camping and fishing areas. The 350-mile Arapeen Off-Highway Vehicle Trail System includes the Skyline Drive and trails branching from it. In winter, this country offers great snowmobile and snowkite play areas. |  | Palisade State Park - Fish, camp and golf at this park, located in the mountains east of the town of Stirling. |  | Tracking Butch Cassidy - Discover the boyhood stomping grounds of Butch Cassidy, where he was born, raised, and worked as a ranch hand. | | Heritage Highway The Utah Heritage Highway runs parallel to Interstate 15 from Fairview to Kanab along U.S. Highway 89. The antique shops, inns, historic sites, traditional celebrations, local foods and heritage tours along the route are sure to excite the traveler interested in local history and culture. Great Basin National Park - Nevada Great Basin National Park has a unique and beautiful hydraulic ecosystem. The Great Basin region covers over 200,000 squares miles, extending in the east to Utah's Wasatch Mountains. Little Sahara Rec. Area A wall of sand climbing nearly 700 feet high provides the ultimate challenge to rider and machine. This is the prime-time focal point for hill climbing. Snowmobile With more than 80 trails transversing across the Manti-LaSal National Forest, the Central Utah destination offers a complex of various trails with varied terrain with limitless opportunities. Snowkite The Skyline Drive is one of the best spots on earth for the new extreme sport of snowkiting. Grab the rope and let the kite pull you up and down hills. With kite power, skiers and boarders can make jumps of up to 100 feet. | Paiute and Arapeen ATV Trail Systems These popular ATV and off-road systems offer hundreds of miles of trails that loop over mountain ranges and plunge down into rugged canyons. The trails may be accessed at many points, including at the junction of Interstate Highways 15 and 70. Rock Climb Maple Canyon Climbers come from around the world to challenge the unique cobblestone cliffs found in this scenic canyon. Raft Raft on the windy Sevier River, which flows through scenic Marysvale. This is a great family experience Golf Central Utah is home to several excellent golf courses. You can golf on a state park, at courses found off the beaten path, or with the pros. Courses include: Canyon Breeze, Canyon Hills, Cove View, Palisade State Park, and Sunset View. Rock Hounding/ Fossils Utah is known as the Rock Hounding Capital of the United States! Destinations throughout Central Utah provide the most diverse and unique rock hounding sites in the state.
